Blood tests are booked via reception and are usually taken by the practice healthcare assistant, Nina. You may be asked to attend for blood tests at Abbey Road Clinic behind the surgery. You can also choose the walk-in service at the path lab at Victoria Hospital (week-days 9.00am - 4.50pm) or at the Blackpool walk-in centre on Whitegate Drive.
The doctors review the results of all the tests carried out by the practice.
These results (except pregnancy tests) will be given out over the telephone by the reception staff or an appointment given if appropriate.
If telephoning for results, please call after lunch (when the phones are less busy).
